18" Eşsiz Crash
Part of the signature Eşsiz line, designed by Corey Foster, this 18” crash cymbal has a gorgeous low fundamental tone, opens up easily at low dynamic levels, and has a sweet and balanced high frequency range. This is a very full-sounding crash. This cymbal is articulate enough for small ensemble settings as a light ride.
The hybrid lathing design of this cymbal has multiple functions: Partial lathing (raw-gold lathing) was used from the center of the cymbal to just above the shoulder in order to control high frequencies, and to provide a slightly thicker area of the shoulder to provide greater stick articulation. Wide and shallow lathing was used on the fully lathed portion of the cymbal to produce a balanced wash. There is a slight taper toward the edge of the cymbal. Playing on the fully lathed portion of the shoulder area will produce a beautiful wash and clear attack, while playing on the partially lathed portion of the shoulder will produce a noticeably stronger stick articulation and a more controlled wash.
Ideal for all genres, especially modern jazz, funk, soul, and world genres.
